Merak is the convergence of everyday essentials with functionality and aesthetics, but specifically for drinkware (for now). We (husband and wife co-founders) frequently invited friends and family to our home to hang out and chat over a cup of coffee, and we noticed a space that had yet to be filled. We'd all reach over and pick the cup up, sip our drink, hold onto the cup, and reach over put it down on the table after a few moments. This made us wonder why and when we asked people, their response was that the cup was tiresome to hold and that's where we come in.

Our mug is a conversation starter but it let's the conversation keep flowing. Give it a shot!

We always tell people that you won't realize how good it is until you actually hold it in your hand, but we'll try our best to explain. This extension of the mug slides naturally between your index and middle fingers so provide a support while you hold the mug. We want our mug to become a conversation started but also something you use while having conversation, and this built-in support in conjunction with the double wall allows you to hold your drink for longer without discomfort.

Double-walled means there two layers of ceramic with a gap of air in between to allow for a few things:

• It offers the mug more structural integrity
• It creates a thermal barrier so you can comfortably hold hot and cold drinks with no issues
• It prevents moisture and condensation issues on the exterior of the mug
